2/19/2014 1 Comment On the 19th 19 years agoSo I thought I would start this post off listing off famous people who were born on the 19th of February 19 years ago. However I can't find anyone! If you look up February the 19th on wikipedia under the list of births the last date that is listed is February 19, 1994. So then I thought "well maybe someone important died", but on the list of deaths it skips from February 19, 1994 to February 19, 1996. (Which by the way skips over the year 1995) So I looked to see if anything happened on February 19, 1995 however I can’t find anything…and I mean anything. It’s like February 19, 1995 is the only day in history that nothing happened. The only day that everything was at peace. It looks like God reserved this day almost as if he had something really important he was going to do that day. As if February 19, 1995 was when God was going to do something spectacular and he didn’t want anything to take its thunder. So what was so important that it got a whole day reserved in history? What happened on February the 19th 19 years ago? I'm not going to tell you yet. First I'm going to show you a random photo with a random caption then I'll tell you. This is Susan. She had this odd little hobby...of eating the dog's food. And fighting the dog for it. Sorry Susan you can't escape it now that it's on the internet, everyone knows! Ok, I know you want to know what's so important that it got a whole day to itself in history. Well you see 19 years ago on February 19, 1995 a little girl was born. A little girl named Susan. No she's not famous. No wikipedia has no idea who she is. And yes as far as the world is concerned she is just another person overpopulating the planet. So then why does this little girl get a whole day to her elf in history? Because God looked down at a young couple and said "I'm going to give you a blessing. The blessing of a family, a blessing that I will be able to use to bless others".
For you see that little girl was my sister, my shorter than me but older than me sister. The sister who stayed behind the scenes in order to help me. The sister who made costumes, costumes and more costumes and then was content with letting me take the spotlight. The sister who showed me what your imagination could do. The sister who always liked my ideas even though I didn't always like hers. You see God looked down that day and knew that this world would need someone brave enough to walk into Walmart and declare that even America needed missionaries. God knew this world needed someone who would show them how modesty should look. Someone who would help others be modest when the world wouldn't. Someone who could show others how smart they are. Someone who would truly laugh at anyone's joke even if she didn't get it. God looked down and knew that I would need an older sister. God knew the world needed a gentle Lily and that the day she came needed to be just as gentle and loving as she would be. I love you Susan. Your Brother, Christopher

Yep, I remember that infamous day well. And I treasure it as I treasure you my sweet Lily.
