6/4/2014 0 Comments Literal Update #2Hello friends!
Since my last update on our company's newest filming project Literal many exciting things have been happening! If you have been following us on Indiegogo you probably already know a few of them. But since I'm the costume director, and this is a sewing blog, I thought you guys would like to know what's been going on in my little section on the Literal world: The majority of costumes for this project have come from either a) a thrift store or b) the actor's personal closets. Since this is taking place in modern times that means I don't have to sew as much because we can basically find whatever we need from one of the two places mentioned above. Which means the time I would have spent sewing I can spend learning lines. But, on the flip side of the coin, that also means I don't have much to sew, which is depressing because I feel like I really haven't been "in charge" of the costumes because I didn't physically "make" any of them. But there are a few things I will have to make such as a judge's robe, a bow tie, a pair of red pants, a prison uniform, and a dress for my character Ann (because I wanted to make me a new dress so thus I'm making me one. Do you have a problem with that?) Even though I haven't done much sewing for Literal I have gotten quite a few things done around here: 1. I've gotten the character of Ann's complete wardrobe together (minus 2 outfits). 2. I've gotten several things from the thrift store for Doug Hoop's wardobe and soon I'll lay everything out and assign outfits to episodes. 3. We just had a meeting with a police officer (my new cousin-in-law) discussing and asking different questions about their uniforms and equipment. 4. I bought several costumes for other minor characters and (hopefully) soon I'll have a "try on" date with the actors. I still have a LOT to get done so I better get started! As I mentioned before, I'll try to keep this blog updated as best I can, but with all that's going on, I may not be able to post about everything. But you can still get updates from my brother HERE on Indiegogo and HERE on his Google+ page. Thank you so so so so so SO much for all your prayers and support! We really couldn't do this without y'all's help! After all, what good would a web series be without people to watch it? Romans 1:16 Love, Susan P.S. Just as a teaser, if all goes well, my next update will be a costume "reveal" for one of the characters. I'll give you a hint as to who: you don't want to mess with this guy or you might end up in trouble with the law! Comment below on who you think it is!
